The Gaymer Cider Company were the kind sponsor of the Food Producers Market, whose help and assistance allowed us to find an amazing range of dedicated producers.
Slow Food Bristol® and Taste of the West also gave their support to the Food Producers Market. Using our experience in running successful food markets, 31 traders that represent some of the best independent food and drink businesses in the South West region were selectively recruited.
Our hand-picked producers were committed to selling quality regional products, promoting healthy eating and buying habits, with a belief in good practice and provenance.
Visitors are encourgaged to bring a re-usable shopping bag and be tempted to fill it up with some of the region’s finest food and drink!

Boccadon Farm Veal

Veal has acquired a bad reputation over the years, but we believe the time is right to shout about the virtues of welfare-friendly veal. Let’s face it – bull calves are an inevitable by-product of dairy farming, and if they’re not reared for veal, they face being shot at birth or shipped out to the Continent.
Our veal calves are from a pedigree Holstein and Guernsey dairy herd. They are reared in small groups in open air, loose straw yards. They have plenty of fresh air and room to run around, a bit of sunshine (weather permitting!), and a varied diet including milk, cereals and straw from their deep bedding. Although not part of an organic farm, our animals are given no medicines or other treatments unless strictly necessary for their health and wellbeing.
